Why We Selected It
The Teddy Sofa Bench is one of those rare pieces that feels equally at home in a traditional or contemporary interior. We were drawn to its exaggerated English roll arms, which give it an unmistakable personality, balanced by a clean, tailored silhouette. While technically a sofa, we think of Teddy as an upholstered bench—perfect in an entryway, at the foot of a bed, beneath a window, or anywhere an elegant perch is needed without the depth of a full sofa.
Its understated scale allows it to add warmth and architectural interest while remaining remarkably versatile.
Craftsmanship
Made in the USA by Cisco Home in collaboration with John Derian, the Teddy Sofa Bench is built on an FSC® Certified hardwood frame with solid maple legs finished in an ebony stain. It is available in a wide selection of fabrics and can be customized in both fabric and size to suit your home.
John Derian
John Derian is celebrated for creating furniture that feels collected rather than decorated. Drawing inspiration from English country houses, antique textiles, and classical European interiors, his designs combine timeless forms with an inviting sense of ease. The Teddy Sofa Bench embodies that philosophy—familiar, comfortable and enduring.
