Gilded antique French rectangular mirror with thin engraved frame 145 X 98 cm, circa 1860.

This 19th-century gold-framed mirror is a striking example of refined French craftsmanship. Framed in original gold leaf with beautifully aged silver nitrate mirror, it offers a luminous, timeworn elegance that only history can impart. The generously scaled silhouette (145 x 98 cm / 57.09″ × 38.58″) makes a graceful statement whether hung above a mantel, console, or in an entryway. Subtle imperfections in the glass and patina reflect its storied past, making it not just a mirror, but a singular piece of decorative art.
