About the Fabric:
Burnley Overdye Ticking is a classic striped cotton fabric by Howe Great Britain, woven in Lancashire and dyed in the Scottish Borders. Originally developed as a durable cloth for covering mattresses and bedding, ticking has long been valued for its strength, tight weave, and timeless stripe. Woven from exceptionally fine yarns, this medium-weight cotton has a smooth, tightly structured surface with a subtle softness to the touch and an impressive durability rating of 30,000 rubs on the face and 35,000 on the reverse. The front features bold black and blue stripes, while the reverse offers a softer broken stripe for a more understated look. Howe Great Britain aims to incorporate recycled and organic yarns whenever possible, though availability can vary between production batches.
