As many of my good friends and clients know, I often say that decorating your home is a process. It’s so true (and not just because I say it). Imagine the point when you are done. Do you then sit back and just enjoy it for the next 20 or 30 years? Not likely. That would be likely wearing the same great tailored suit day in and day out. You will want to keep things fresh and interesting, and you will continue to be inspired by trends, your travels and by boutique shops and talented designers.

Melissa from The Inspired Room says: the reality for most of us is you have to start with what you have, or what you find on the budget you have and in what order you find it in, and then evolve from there.
